  • to create awareness on equality and non-discrimination; and
  • to empower stakeholders through training.
Research:

A Pilot Study in four schools developed training modules and lesson plans on equality and non-discrimination, serving as a useful tool of good practices for teachers.The long-term objective of the pilot study is to make teachers the ‘ambassadors for change’ within the education system.

The Pilot Study has shown that integrating equality, diversity and mainstreaming in teaching is possible and can be successful at both content and skills level.

Training programme on diversity management, in particular equality action planning for employees and customers, and developing an equality body strategy to support organisations in diversity management from a human resources and a customer care perspective.

Diversity Management Training was also provided to employers for the purpose of:

Deepening employers’ knowledge base and understanding in relation to the grounds covered by equal treatment legislation;

Building employers’ awareness, knowledge and skills to develop management systems to comply with equal treatment legislation and to reap the potential benefits of a diverse workforce.
